The importance of UX

We live in our projects, we redesign, we recode, we tend to make it perfect. But we often forget the user.

Two classmates and me have been there recently. For two weeks we were cave men, we designed, coded and polished the product, without showing anything to the outside world. Today, we showed it to a user, and in this case: our teacher.

He felt lost. We failed to deliver the content in the right way.

After evaluating the feedback, this isn't wrong at all. It's a gift. We often think we know enough UX Tricks to skip user testing, to know what the user wants. But after all, we don't.

Don't be afraid to test your product, even when in lack of time. Fixes are often small design flaws that need to be polished while the efforts are big.
